New Transport vehicle for the Dinslaken Tafel handed over

Dinslaken, 18th February 2010

Yesterday the day had finally come: a new transport vehicle could be handed over to the assistants of the Tafel e. V. in Dinslaken.

The businessman Volker Marquard, who has been supporting the Tafel for several years sponsored this new vehicle. One condition was attached to this donation: the association Tafel e. V. was asked in return to organise a healthy breakfast with fruit and vegetables for the primary schools in Hünxe, and so, since November 2009 the three Hünxe primary schools get fruit and vegetables sponsored by growers from the region once a month.
With the new, additional vehicle the donations can be collected even more rapidly from supermarkets now. This makes things much easier for the assistants of the Tafel. Every day of handing out, up to 120 needy persons come to pick up food for their families.

Pure Culture !!

Dinslaken, 6th July 2005

Supporting theatre and culture at Hünxe Comprehensive School

(Dagmar Franken, Volker Marquard)

The accent is often on pure culture at Hünxe Comprehensive School. And to make sure things stay that way, NV-EnerTech donated 1,000 euros in aid of the school's theatre/literature project. Once a year the school raises the curtain on the world of the theatre for its pupils in order to make them aware of issues such as violence, right-wing extremism or the search for identity and to encourage the children to think about these questions. From November to January the school timetable will include appearances of the "Burghofbühne" from the State Theatre and the School of Culture along with readings from the young author Alexa Henning von Lange. Press Release 04.12.01 – Campaign to Alleviate Chronic Shortage of Educational Resources

Dinslaken, 4th December 2001

Used (but robust) computers for Hünxe Comprehensive School

On Friday, the NV-EnerTech GmbH Engineering Office in Dinslaken donated 5 older computers (but in good repair), complete with new monitors and mice, to Mr Gollasch, teacher at the comprehensive school.

With this gesture, Mr Marquard, managing director of NV-EnerTech, intends to set an example with regard to the chronic shortage of educational resources.
Mr Marquard believes that many companies have older computers that are no longer being used. Since it is not unusual that 4 students studying information technology are required to share a single computer, our children would indeed be thankful if such equipment could be further used in educational facilities. It is astounding that the training of our students is comparable to that of developing countries simply because our financial budgets disallow the funding of necessary equipment.
